Coffee for Two: Valentine’s Day Recipes

Chocolate Strawberry Latte
Makes two servings.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Kauai Coffee Chocolate Strawberry coffee, brewed strong.
- 1 cup milk of choice (for a richer taste, consider using whole milk or a barista blend plant-based milk)
- 4 tablespoons strawberry syrup
- Whipped cream (optional)
- Chocolate shavings and fresh strawberries for garnish
Instructions:
- Brew 2 cups of Kauai Coffee Chocolate Strawberry coffee using your method of choice.
- Heat the milk over medium heat in a small saucepan until hot but not boiling. Froth the milk using a milk frother or by whisking vigorously.
- Stir the strawberry syrup into the brewed coffee.
- Pour the flavored coffee into a large mug and gently add the frothed milk on top.
- Top with whipped cream, then garnish with chocolate shavings and a fresh strawberry slice.
Chocolate Truffle Cappuccino
Makes two servings.
Ingredients:
- 4 shots of espresso ( we recommend Poipu Estate Espresso Roast or Typica Dark Roast)
- 1 cup frothed milk
- 2 chocolate truffles
- Cocoa powder and more chocolate truffles for garnish
Instructions:
- Brew espresso using an automatic or manual brewer.
- Heat milk and froth with a milk frother, steamer, or whisk to create a creamy, velvety foam.
- Place a chocolate truffle in the bottom of each cup.
- Pour two shots of the hot espresso over the truffles and let them melt.
- Stir the coffee and chocolate and then spoon the frothed milk on top, creating a thick layer of foam.
- Dust with cocoa powder and garnish with a small chocolate truffle on the saucer for an added treat.
Kauai Coffee Espresso Martini
Makes two servings.
Ingredients:
- 4 ounces vodka
- 1 ounce Koloa Kauai Coffee Rum
- 2 ounces Kauai Coffee Peaberry Dark Roast, brewed and chilled
- Ice for shaker
- Optional: one ounce simple syrup or macadamia nut syrup for additional sweetness and flavor
- Instructions: Add the vodka, Koloa Kauai Coffee Rum, Poipu Estate Espresso Roast Coffee, and optional syrup into a martini shaker with ice.
- Shake the ingredients vigorously until well chilled.
- Strain into two chilled cocktail or martini glasses. Serve over ice if desired.
